October 1

Welcome to October and welcome to Fall.

I for one am looking forward to the cool temperatures that fall usually brings.

This week the students have been told is a review Testing week.

The spelling words and the vocabulary words that they have received so far are going to be reviewed and used all week long.

They will bring the spelling journal home each night to practice.

We will also have a new member to our classroom Ms. Fasten who is a student from Wilmington University. She will be with us for this term helping with reading centers and giving extra help when needed.

This week in science we will be watching closely our Monarch Larvae. With any luck and kindness they will all live and change right before our eyes.

I have also given each student a Book It form. Each student is to read 11 books in the month of October. When they have done this they are to return the form to be signed by you and they will receive a coupon from Pizza Hut.
