Our vocabulary words will be survive, frontier, nearby, wild, tame, which, and orchards.

The story is written in play form so the students will be given parts to read and memorize so that we can put on a short play for our first graders.

In math we are starting a unit on Geometry. The students will be investigating shapes for their faces-sides, and angles-corners.

Our school is also collecting Pennies for Alzheimer’s Association. The students will have a chance to earn prizes by making estimation guesses to see how many pennies were collected for their grade and for the entire school.
